Stardate 72101.8

The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts remained tied, the score 28-28 in the fourth quarter. The possibility exists, however unsettling, that Peyton Manning may be unable to finish what is perhaps the most important game of his career. It would be a shame if the man whom many regard as the best player at his position were not able to oversee what may be an eventual victory for the Colts, the team whose offense he has commanded since 1998.

As I type this entry, the Patriots are facing a fourth down, and have elected attempt a field-goal: the field goal is "good" from 28 yards, to take a 31-28 advantage. Peyton Manning will now attempt to guide the Colts back into the endzone, in spite of the apparent injury to his thumb.
